Why Early Access?
&Simulation football games are trying to recreate real world. We want to make Kopanito more fun than that. Kopanito is after 24 months of development and balancing. There are few directions of future development for the game, we have many ideas waiting for implementation but want to also know your opinion.

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?
&Many features have been completed during the Early Access period, like online multi-player, greatly improved AI (4 difficulty levels), creating custom tournaments, achievements, leaderboards and more.
What's left to improve is polishing. There are still few minor features missing and few bugs to squash. We need you to make Kopanito perfect, so please test the game and let us know what's great and what needs improvements.&
What is the current state of the Early Access version?
&The game is fully playable in single-player, local multi-player and online multi-player mode.
Online multi-player allows to play in four quick modes: 1vs1, 2vs2, 3vs3 and 5vs5. Creating customized matches and inviting friends is possible too.
In single-player you can play a friendly match against friends or AI (or with friends against AI). There are 16 competitions (continental cups + world cup) to complete, each one can be played with friends too (all players in one team only). AI teams are easy to beat (easy difficulty) after some practice, so it's advised to play against your friends after that until better AI will be developed.
Kopanito's match engine is well-balanced. You can pass the ball along the ground or use lobs, you can also pass on a straight line between opponents. Scoring goals can be achieved by outmaneuvering the goalkeeper, or by chip shots or precise shots over a longer distance where ball swerve is also possible. Slide tackle is also a powerful move if used precisely, allows to steal the ball, intercept passes or even score a goal (this needs some practice :)).
Included are 5 super-moves: super-shot, ball magnet, teleport, windmaker and freeze. These can be used to gain an advantage over an opponent or to aid in defending and require some precision and good timing for best results. More super-moves will be added in future too.&

Great news!
We're happy to announce that the big day has come: online multi-player modes are available to play in Kopanito! This took a few months of our hard work to complete.
You can play with other players around the world in these modes: Duel (1 vs 1), Doubles (2 vs 2), Chaos (3 vs 3) and Complete (5 vs 5). A match will start when there are at least 2 players ready, so for the 3 vs 3 mode other players will join during play.
Create party and invite friends!
To customize a match completely, select the &Create Party& mode. It allows you to choose teams, stadium, decide of the match duration and invite friends to play against. This type of game is currently always private and invite-only.

It's not the end of online multi-player development. We're working on additional improvements and features. Below is a list of things that will be improved next:
Better, more fluid rendering on the client-side.
Goal replays not working yet in online matches.
Better matchmaking, taking into account players distance (to reduce latency) and skill.
Add support for more local controllers in online matches.
Calculate proper fame points for all players participating in a match (currently it's broken).
Better lobby browsing screen, allow to create public custom lobbies.
Playing in co-op against AI.
Cups and leagues
Leagues screens has been improved (see the image below). For completing a cup or league additional fame points are awarded. We've also decided to unlock continental cups and World Cup for beginners.
Supermoves rebalanced
Supershot
It can be deflected by slide tackles and standing players more easily (previously slide tackles never worked actually). Turn rate is increased when controlling the ball. Camera locked to the ball.
Windmaker
Windmaker can now stop the supershot, if it's timed correctly. This makes the Windmaker a little more useful.
Ball-Magnet
Goalkeepers can now catch the ball pulled by the Ball-Magnet most of the time. The tactic of running into an opponent's goal and activating the Ball-Magnet is now lot harder to exploit.
Other changes
Corner kicks, throw-ins and goal kicks are all now time-limited to 5 seconds.
Fixed the Team Kopanito achievement not unlocking (thanks Don Pedro De La Muerte).
Player switching improved: better algorithm, allowing to change player during a slide tackle and a failed header.
Fixed slide tackling goalkeepers.
Better stadium thumnails in the stadium selection screen.
Fixed players glitching during a header when the ball is caught by a goalkeeper.
Fixed inverted choices when setting draws for a friendly match.
Fixed conflicting global time scale related problems.
Fixed AI not recognizing it has the ball in some cases.
Fixed AI dribbling in rare cases when a human player is in the team.
Fixed goalkeeper kicking in a wrong direction in some cases.
Fixed AI making invalid ground passes in some cases.
Updated ball textures, rotated balls slightly in thumbnails.
Many more other minor fixes, optimizations and improvements.
Kopanito is still in Early Access, so remember that playing online you're testing a feature in active development. Have fun and remember to ! :)
Another milestone reached: Kopanito is now playable over the Internet! It's still in development, very raw and laggy, but it's playable now.
If you want to test it, then you need to switch to the BETA branch on Steam (right-click on the game, select &Properties&, and then the &BETAS& tab, leave the access code field empty). Currently there may not be many players online, so please invite your friends.
Only 1 vs 1 match is possible right now. Other modes are in development. It's recommended to play against friends who aren't far away to reduce latency. A better lag-compensating functionality is in development.
We continue to work on this, but anyone is encouraged to post feedback .
Oh, Linux and OS X builds not ready yet, please be patient.

About This Game
It may not look serious, but we guarantee, that it is. Kopanito's match engine is well-balanced. Use slide tackle to intercept passes or knock-down opponents (or even score a goal!). Pass the ball straight to your teammates (ground or air) or pass the ball between opponents. Score goals using chip shots or by swerving the ball using slow-motion shots. There are various set pieces, like corner kicks or throw-ins too, but no rules apart from that! Don’t forget, it is a fast-paced game - it might be funny and cartoonish, but it’s not that easy. Try it yourself!
There is support for up to 5 controllers (4 gamepads + keyboard). Try the game with your buddies in a friendly match in various game modes - in any desired combination including 5 vs AI game or play in cooperation through a tournament.
If you play well-enough, you will be awarded with a super-move. Then you can pull the ball using a super-strong magnet (because why not) or teleport into a different spot on the field, activate a big windmaker to blow things out of your goal-line, perform a super-shot that knockout opponents down on the path of the ball and freeze your opponents with the freeze super-move. Oh, more crazy super-moves are coming!
Four different difficulty levels. The easiest one is a child's play, while the last one... you'll pull your hair out trying to beat the game. Also, there’s a practice mode if you just want to learn basic moves.
We focus on diversity. Complete 16 tournaments and leagues in different parts of the world with regional national teams. A tournament consist of a group stage and knockout stage. In a league we apply a round-robin system. Depending on the type of event, there can be 12, 16, 24 or more teams competing. You can choose from 100+ national teams (even the most exotic ones) from all over the world and play on 7 stadiums.
Right now you are able to create your own Kopanito's tournament (league, knockout and league + knockout). You decide about stadium, ball and number of teams. You are the Boss here!
Check out your awesome goal or an incredible action! Save them to the GIF's and share with your friends on a different the social media channels.
We've opened stadiums, balls and teams for modding. You can add a new stadium or ball by just editing one of the built-in ones. Steam Workshop support coming soon!

Just played some matches offline so far but they were awesome. Also it's nice to have this &World Cup& (NES) feeling back again - although it's a bit different. What I can say is, that the German translations in the game are weird af. Seems like someone was using Google translator to deliver some translations.Overall it's a really nice enjoyable game. Bought it for 3.59 Euro. Totally worth it!

This game is like Fifa with powerups. It's amazingly fun, and simple to pick up and play. Runs great on SteamOS, has excellent controller support, and has fantastic co-op and competitive couch play with multiple players. Highly recommended.

Pretty entertaining game overall with relatively easy controls, consistant action, and satisfying goals. Local co-op is definitely a plus as well! However, there are two major improvements that will convince me to give this a thumbs up:- Improved netcode: I have a fast internet connection and decent setup but the responsiveness in an online game is miserable. I noticed that my opponent was having the same problems. Everything from switching characters in the timely manner, tackling when actually pressing the button, and passing was affected- Information about how many players are in each online game mode: There is a count in the bottom-left of the mode select screen that says how many players are online and how many are waiting for a game. However, with so many game types (5 or 6, iirc) it would be a huge help to see what modes people are waiting to play. Its great to see that 2 people are in the game lobby waiting to play but it would save a lot of trial and error to just tell me what game I should select so I can play with them. Likewise, if I'd like to play 3v3 with randoms, it'll increase their chances of finding me in that lobby if that lobby notated that there is somebody waiting in it.This is a fun game but these are areas that need improvement to make it fun to play online.

This game is fun and simple, as others have said. It's a good game to play with people who maybe aren't into games like fifa which are more complex (as much as a football game can be). There are however clear problems with the game that need to be fixed before the game is something I would recommend. CONS:The AI man the AI. The AI really really needs to be fixed. On any difficulty the AI will always have perfect aim with its slide tackles, which you'll soon realize are the key meta to the game. This wouldn't really be a problem if slide tackling wasn't so difficult for human player. Sure you get better as you play but forget playing with your girlfriend when the AI never misses a slide (unless you juke, but thats a whole other thing). The AI also passes and shoots stupidly fast. It just looks like the developers added no margin of error for the AI. Its like fifa if all the sliders were at 100. The game can be fun and rewarding but its quiet annoying when the AI has pixle perfect slides and passes that will never ever miss. And of course the AI can gage the slide distance perfectly so be prepared to be tackled at the max distance you can be tackled from.I hope the game does well and gets the updates it needs but in its current state, you'll be left shaking your head. That said, none of that will really make you lose. Shooting is fun and quick to learn so youll soon be scoring from 40 yards. But the fun times are really limited when you have to dance around the perfect AI all game. TLDR: Just make it so the AI can miss sometimes.

Very fun game at the moment, hard to learn but once you do get all the ins and outs it becomes quite easy. Regardless i'd like to see some sort of season mode in the game. Something to allow me to build a franchise with all these made up players, trade them, and grow our team. For now I understand that might be a tall order, but players game after game just for the sake if winning a cup isn't very meaningful.9/10

Ruined my life 11/10On a serious note, it's a bit difficult to get into the game but once you're in, you will love it. I bought it blindly, I just didn't expect to have so much fun with it. The only thing which bothers me are the controls, god they H***E to be reworked. Toggling players is not working correctly and this gets frustrating...

Fantastic little game. Best Indie football game on Steam. The clever slow mo shooting system and easy curved shot controls means you're spend plenty of time watching your amazing goal replays. The slide tackles are particularly satisfying, especially as there are no fouls. Revenge is openly encouraged. Considering this is still in early access, there's a good amount of content to enjoy. It's just a fun to play football arcade game. A hidden gem.
