动作RPG都会给人一种非常简单的假象,《恐怖黎明》也不例外。许多ARPG都曾尝试将《暗黑破坏神》击落神坛,但很少有哪部作品能够将花式爆裂的怪兽、特色鲜明的画风、酣畅淋漓的战斗、还有充满打击感的音效和视觉细节融合成一部完整的作品。
但是《恐怖黎明》是少有的几部在《暗黑破坏神3》面前依然能够以自己特色维持尊严的作品。当你拿起剑砍向第一只僵尸的时候,当你第一次使用职业相应技能的时候,你就能感受到它的精致。这种感觉即使在经历数小时的砍杀以后依然不会退去,反而总会让你发现新的匠心细节。
游戏世界的展示非常华丽。即使是在最黑暗的地区,场景中也充满了细节和材质纹理,游戏借鉴了维多利亚风格建筑,同时也设计了大量地下洞窟和怪物巢穴,而到了第二章则峰回路转,进入了落日黄沙的西部牛仔风格。游戏中随处可见细节场景设计,让人非常确信这片土地已经无药可救。荒村野路,残垣断壁,泛着绿光的实验室以及其中痛苦的实验。所有场景都充满了不详的气息,幸存下来的城镇也好不到哪去。游戏里的第一个任务会给你一些钱用来买装备,同时警告你这里是唯一一个安全的藏身点。这个警告绝非耸人听闻。
探索世界的过程很流畅,按照惯例,玩家需要经过长途跋涉,砍瓜切菜才能到达下一个目标地点或者boss战,不过在这里,这段旅途充满了史诗感,每一条路都有精彩的大规模战斗等着玩家,有深不可测的地下城提供更多战利品和挑战。唯一让我感到不爽的是,战利品实在是太多了,多的让人抓狂。
我知道,收集战利品其实是ARPG类型的精髓所在,如果杀怪不掉装备,谁还有心情去冒险?但在本作中,掉落的装备一文不值,甚至价格都不够买一瓶生命药水,几乎让人懒得去捡,懒得去卖。对着满地的垃圾挑挑拣拣,寻找比自己身上更好的装备。好消息是这里面回城很方便,只需要施放一个法术就能回到商店老板旁边,然后再传送回到原地,不过倒卖垃圾次数多了以后你会开始觉得累。我更希望它能直接掉钱,别掉那么多占地方的垃圾装备,或者增加一个自动卖垃圾的按钮。游戏倒是允许玩家设置不显示地上装备的名字,看着虽然不糟心了,但可能会因此缺钱。
游戏给玩家设计的成长曲线非常出色,玩家明显能感受到身边敌人逐渐变强大,但同时也能感受到自己的成长。尤其是游戏中的各种魔法,从最初的基本火花,到满屏的爆炸火焰,从基本的闪电眩晕,到把敌人炸上天。
游戏中的法力值设计很平衡,既可以让玩家毫不吝惜地施放法术,又不至于廉价到脸滚键盘乱放一气。或许你可以在第一章脸滚键盘横行霸道,但到了第二章,就需要玩家使用一些策略了。爆炸狂的燃烧瓶可以搭配闪电球,可以有效应付大群杂鱼,而奥术师的魔法剑则会在击中敌人以后裂变,在封闭空间内效果奇佳。每个职业都有一套强力的技能组合,但玩家必须在技能和属性点之间进行取舍,因为属性点可以让玩家穿戴更好的护甲和武器,这也是应对更高级的敌人的必要条件。
朋友与敌人
《恐怖黎明》的主要制作重点在单人剧情模式,不过本作也支持至多4人的合作游戏,毫无疑问,没有了《暗黑破坏神3》的拍卖行和要求实时在线,它的多人互动体验简化了许多。
我们在这个世界中的砍杀与冒险还应该有个理由,这也是《恐怖黎明》需要改进的地方。故事剧情方面虽然有几处亮点,比如收集设备修桥,桥通了以后可以进入第二章,比如游戏中的声望系统可以解锁特殊装备,比如偶尔出现的玩家抉择,先把谁送回城镇决定了不同的剧情走向。不过,总体来讲,本作的故事剧情并不让人感兴趣,我不由自主地就开始跳过那些沉闷的NPC和沉闷的对话,直接向下走,那些怪物还等着我去殴打呢。
如果你专门喜欢探索剧情,也不会毫无收获,好友和宿敌会偶尔说起一些关乎世界背景的话,而且随着游戏进展,幸存者聚集的城镇,&恶魔十字路&会逐渐繁花起来,从最开始绝望等死的几个人,逐渐成长为一定规模的社会群体。各个章节也展现了非常多样化的景观,而且世界地图非常庞大,甚至早期一个到附近城镇跑腿的任务都会让人觉得是在跑半程马拉松,而且路上还有大大小小的地下城,有的地下城还禁止回城,玩家要么赢,要么死。
总而言之,游戏内容非常多,而且通关以后还有生存模式。这个模式移除了剧情和NPC,只剩下纯粹的砍杀,玩家需要面对一波又一波的敌人。另外游戏也提供了mod工具,可以让玩家群体创作自己的新内容。有的时候,《恐怖黎明》会落入普通ARPG的俗套,无尽的地下城,没有高潮和悬念的战斗,就像你遇到的第一个boss一样,它和普通杂鱼的区别只是它更耐打一些。笔者是没有记住任何一场boss战的细节,而且也没有找到《暗黑》里面第一次面对屠夫的那种惊心动魄和戏剧性。不过重要的是,《恐怖黎明》非常理解自己的类型,它懂得保持场景的趣味性,同时也能把不同场景关联起来,甚至可以从维多利亚风格跳到西部牛仔风格,而且让每一次打击都有厚重的感觉,让人可以心满意足地每天挥刀一千次。
《恐怖黎明》是市面上最棒的动作RPG之一,出色地融合了砍杀打斗、世界场景、玩家成长,让人觉得值得花时间沉浸其中。无论是单打独斗还是与朋友合作,玩家都能享受到数小时的顶级打斗寻宝体验,而且可以确信,未来还将有更值得期待的黑暗时代即将来临。

I've tried to smooth this out a bit, so the way enemies scale from Veteran to Elite is more consistent and damage rate should be a little more normalized on Elite.
