大量本应在之后的炉边闲谈公布的《炉石传说》扩展包新卡已经提前曝光！暴雪表示总共会有120张新卡，目前公开了共计28张新卡，具体的卡图、卡牌身材、效果请参照图集。

设计师BEN已证实，GVG卡包和经典卡包的卡牌稀有度掉落保持一致。根据1000+经典卡包的开包模拟，得出的各稀有度卡牌掉落分布如下(百分比)。
稀有 = 21.4
史诗 = 4.28
传说 = 1.08
金色普通 = 1.47
金色稀有 = 1.37
金色史诗 = 0.308
金色传说 = 0.111
本次的GVG卡包各稀有度卡牌分布
共计123张(排除衍生卡)：
于是通过模拟，你平均需要开启272个卡包(区间在200-350间浮动)才能收集完全卡。奥术之尘未计算在内。
模拟图与感想
看完以上数据，感到震惊了吗?GVG时代的开启，加之不再产出经典卡包，付费玩家和免费玩家的差距将要拉的更大了。
加上旧卡的成本，于是炉石全卡的成本目前变成了272包+510包+128元(冒险模式)。
