　　Lady: You've heard of it haven't you? The Legend of Sparda. When I was young my father would tell stories about it. Long ago, in ancient times, demon rebelled against his own kind for the sake of the human race. With his sword, he shut the portal to the demonic realm and sealed the evil entities off from our human world. But since he was a demon himself, his power was also trapped on the other side. I never believed it. I thought it was just a child's fairy tale. But I discovered that this so-called legend wasn't a myth at all. Sparda existed. How do I know?
　　Well……I met the sons of Sparda--Both of them. Though the same blood of their father flowed through their veins, the two battled each other fiercely like arch enemies. It seemed as if they derived some sort of twisted pleasure from this brotherly fighting. But in the end……only one was left standing.

　　Dante: I haven't even picked a name for this joint and I'm already getting calls.

The greatest minds of their time, those who revered Evil, constructed this glorious edifice. Now, after two milleniums of confinement,it can at last fulfill the purpose for which it was intended……
　　雅克罕姆:怎样?难道那没有使你热血沸腾吗?黑暗的力量已经复活了，那曾经是联系人界和魔界的最伟大的统治者。这还不够壮观华丽吗?在那个时代热情崇拜着恶魔的信徒们，建立了这座光辉的圣殿。如今，2000多年的拘禁后，终于能够将那些梦想变为现实……
　　Vergil: That's none of my concern. Did he have it?
　　维吉尔:那些和我并无瓜葛。他有那东西吗?(指但丁的结晶项链，母亲的遗物)
　　Arkham: Of course. He's taking good care of it.After all, it is the only memento left from the mother you both lost.

　　Vergil: But he has no idea of its true power.

按下NEW GAME就可以开始游戏，进入选关界面。在那里可以切换衣服（当然要通关后才有新衣服）。通NORMAL后或死3次后会出现EASY模式，通NORMAL后还出现HARD模式，通HARD后会出现VERY HARD模式和DENTE MUST DIE模式，通DENTE MUST DIE后会出现HE***EN OR HELL模式，HOH模式是游戏中任何敌人包括你都可以一击必杀。任意难度通关后追加BLOODY PALACE模式，9999层。还有丁哥可以使用。（下面的攻略最后会写怎么选丁哥的）
游戏每关开始会让你选择MISSION START或者CUSTOMIZE，MISSION START是直接进入关卡开始游戏，CUSTOMIZE是关前作准备。里面可以换武器买道具换模式等。游戏中也可以看到那些狮面人身像，调查后会出现CUSTOMIZE里面的菜单。
是切换职业模式，通过模式的运动可以让游戏变得更有趣味，让敌人更容易对付，现在就简单介绍一下。
本名骗术师，顾名思义就是用于躲避，用于躲避敌人的攻击，升级后还可以空中前冲，瞬移到敌人面前进行追击等。
这个武器的技能会增加，多用于连续技。升级后配合空格+方向+L可以放出强劲的招式打击敌人。
这个是***的技能会增加，多用于远程攻击。升级后可以放出强劲的***技对付远距离的敌人。
本名皇家卫士，多用在防御方面，平时防御中被敌人打会扣一点HP，但是被敌人打中瞬间防御可以不扣HP，还可以像鬼武者那样的一闪秒杀敌人等。
本名水银模式，是12关打败BOSS马车后得到的，空格+L可以让周围的时间变慢，慢慢折磨敌人。
本名影子模式，打败17关的影子BOSS得到的模式，空格+L可以分出一个影子出来，和你做同一样的动作，打敌人时就等于有两个但丁在打。
瞬移模式（丁哥单有的模式）
和但丁的躲避模式一样可以瞬间移动到敌人前面，升级后空格+方向+L可以在空中二段空闪，和但丁的二段跳差不多。
这个是切换武器和***械，每关只能携带两把武器和两把***械，所以只有通过这里切换了。刚刚进入是切换***械的界面，可以通过按空格和N武器***械界面切换。
丁哥的武器不能切换，因为游戏开始就已经带着3把武器1把幻影剑，游戏中也不能像但丁一样得到新模式，新武器等。
这里是购买回复道具，加大血槽，增加魔力珠等，道具是每买一次就会增加价钱，增加到一定程度就会停止加价，主要是加大难度吧。开始紫星和紫结晶是无法购买的，等第8关后才能买，若知为什么请看流程攻略***。
这个是学习武器技能用的，有的可以升3级就满了，有的只能升2级，有的甚至只能升1级，如二段跳。
这个是升级***械威力，攻击力越强威力越大
