R4i-SDHC 3DS Firmware Upgrade
Before V5.0 marking R4i-SDHC 3DS card, there were total 3 kinds of
R4i-SDHC V4.5/V4.4/none. These R4 3ds cards are of different
as different hardwares builit-in.
R4WOOD will have R4i-SDHC 3DS firmware updated to highest system compatibility before shipping out (Currently 3DS 5.1 / DSi 1.45, update on Mar 28th, 2013).
How to tell which firmware version is your R4 3DS in ?
The direct way is to enter Config/Upgrade/, your console loads into Firmware Upgrade Interface, there you can check the current firmware version.
If console boots into Error screen, there you can judge from game icon displayed.

Which card do I guy?

I've purchased 2 cards for my 2 boys 3DS, downloaded the kernel but it just briefly goes to the load screen then goes blank. Both the 3DS are v11.2.0
Have I purchased the wrong cards, or am I using the wrong Kernel?
The cards are R4i 3DS RTS (No Wifi)
Which card should I be using if they just want to run old DS games on their 3DS?

Ok kids will be kids no matter how many times u tell them not to update their version in their 3ds consoles they do it n now all 5 of my R4i 3DS no markings don't work even after upgrading to ver 1.68b. Is there a fix coming soon to address this problem?

so if i dont buy with a memory card (already hv) i cant get the files from u and need to download them? i already hv a R4 3DS but cant update to 5.0 so might need to buy the newest one...

R4i V1.66b kernel does not fix the firmware update old R4i SDHC 3DS for 3DS V4.5.0-10 / DSi 1.4.5.
