Laluzi got their homepage
Something has happened!
You approach the castle ruins. A vicious storm is going on.
Don't mind this page. It's old, it' the story's pretty awful. Still, Laluzi was the first pet I ever wrote a story for. You could say she's what got me into writing to begin with. So while this is pretty cringe-worthy, in hindsight... I'll keep it up for nostalgia.
I've thought about changing her story, making it something a little less emo and Mary Sueish while keeping her design and the general specifics of her story intact. I'm not sure that I'll actually do it, for the aforementioned reasons, but I'd like to put my ideas down somewhere. In the revamp, she'd still be a pink Kougra once-princess of a ruined city, but I'd like to make her less of a blameless paragon who suffers loads of terrible things and becomes deeply emo (and get rid of that 'knows a random spell to make her immortal', because that's just deus ex machina.) Instead, I'd have it that she was an up-and-coming princess who wanted to rule fairly and compassionately, but was terrified of death - and arrogant enough to think that she'd be the best leader of Falyis for all of time. She throws herself into her secret studies of time magic and longevity - her eventual solution is to transmogrify herself into an immortal creature and freeze the transformation halfway, taking some traits from it (immortality being the goal, of course) but not others. She sets her eyes on the dragon, something she greatly disdains - a great beast whose many natural gifts are squandered on something so stupid and vicious. (A key point in this setting, and something that would factor in her thoughts, is that transformation is a dangerous school of magic because it's permanent; what has been changed will not revert back, and further magical tampering with the object will cause it to become unstable.) Research progresses to completion, but she overestimates her abilities when it comes time for the casting, and performs a flawed spell. The effects aren't immediately apparent, making it look like she succeeded, but her transformation slowly advances itself as time passes - pronounced fangs, scales starting to appear on her extremities, vestigial wings. She struggles to hide this from her subjects, but it's a doomed campaign - as her magic is the only thing keeping the transformation as slow as it is, stress only accelerates the process. Worse still, the changes are not solely physical - she gave herself a dragon's pride, temper, and greed, and changes on the outside are always easier to recognize than those from within.
Eventually, it all falls apart - she snaps, the transformation completes itself, and she flies into a rage, burning and clawing at everything she sees - decimating both the castle and her family. (A point of note here, which would probably be foreshadowed in an earlier section, would be that when she loses herself to her instincts, her eyes and flame become green.) After a fierce battle with the royal guards, she manages to gain some control over herself and flees the city.
By this point, she can no longer deny what she's become - and after what she's done, she knows she can't return. The grief drives her mad for a time, and she loses herself again. For several months, maybe years, she lives as a dragon does, hoarding and hunting and killing. Her Kougra markings begin to fade, and her scales start turning green. By the time she 'wakes up', so to speak (and this is a gradual process, perhaps spurred by something familiar - maybe she finds a crown?), the green has covered her tail, her legs, her wings, and most of her stomach.
At first, she glumly assumes that this is just the final part of the transformation, erasing whatever's left of her identity - but the more time she spends 'in control', sane, her own coloration begins to return, and the acidic green recedes. This mildly intrigues her - she's never heard of magic working like this before, but then again, her spell was completely unprecedented in magical history (and for good reason, she now knows.) Life as a dragon is lonely and dreary, and slipping back into her instincts is tempting - it's like sleeping, letting go of awareness and forgetting her problems. She gives in a few times, but she spends most of her time sane, working on controlling her temper and 'taming' herself. Her stripes become prominent and her green spots fade, but she can't hid he her claws and her belly remain green, a reminder of what she can become.
Meanwhile, with no royal family and a good part of the city damaged, Falyis falls into infighting, has several coups in rapid succession, and eventually falls. By the time Laluzi works up her courage to return and possibly make amends, she finds her city in ruins.
The realization of what she's ultimately done pushes her over the edge again, and her anger and grief spill over into her primal self. She spends weeks torching, destroying, and ruining all she sees. When she finally snaps out of that, she realizes that no matter how tight of a leash she keeps on herself, she's dangerous. This is probably the closest Laluzi gets to being a Sue in this potential revamp, but she decides to sequester herself deep in the forest, hiding herself from anything she might harm.
And then she lets go.
It's easier to be the beast. To not think. To not feel. But then I always wake.
Chapter 2: Her Beginning
, a white uni. We went everywhere together. We met when I was just a kid. I was curious about the fish and a certain pond. They glittered so brightly... Anyway, I fell in, and right before I would have drowned, something pulled me out. It was a white uni just my age. And we were the best of friends from that point on.
So, in the best lifestyle one could wish for, I grew up. I had everything I a fun-loving friend, a great home, loving parents, the inheritance of a prosperous kingdom. Life seemed perfect. But now... the broken promise of those things only makes things more sour, for when you have a taste of how life could be, it only makes things worse when you fall. Yet back then, how could I have known? Midnight and I roamed around the city, playing, having adventures, doing foolish things that we laughed about afterwards. She was the best friend a princess could have. And so the years passed until I was 17, and that was the last year I spent in Falyis. Things were prospering more than ever, and on my 20th birthday, I would be crowned queen.
Chapter 3: The Fall
. Perhaps at least one of them still had a spark of goodness in their heart. The uni managed to hold the others back for a scattered handful of moments, and I managed to get away. Free, I looked for Midnight, but she was gone. All I could see were flames devouring buildings and people.
When I was outside the city, I could only watch as everything I had known, everything I had cherished, everything I had loved, was completely obliterated.
Chapter 4: Alone
So I fled, alone and filled with despair, to Mystery Island. I watched as cities rose, and then fell, and new ones were erected upon their ashes. And then the humans came to this world. They took down our cities and kingdoms and enslaved all of our races... the creatures known today as Neopets weren't killed off, but rather, they lost their cultures and backgrounds, being what they truly were no longer. The great Lupe packs, the Uni herds, the Draik clans... they all disappeared. And as time passed me by, as new generations were born and died, they began to change. The Kougras turned from wild, magnificent tigers to little more than playful cats. The Draiks turned from glorious dragons to little winged lizards, docile as puppies. Yet Falyis was always haunting my memory as my childhood was swept away by the years. I spent a thousand years on the island, looking for Midnight long after I knew she could not have survived. I journeyed through the dense jungle to the sandy shores, forever looking for somebody who was once only a friend, but now much more. She used to be only a friend, and back in Falyis, if she had gone missing, I would have been sad, yes, but not to this extent. This was beyond anything you could imagine. Because now I had nobody. My father was dead, my mother was dead, my brother was dead, my kingdom was dead. Midnight was the only Falyan who still walked this upon this earth, besides me. And she may not have escaped. She could have died by fire or sword, she could be only another memory in the ruined city of Falyis, a city of ghosts. But when you are this desperate, you cling to far-fetched ideas, because you've got nowhere else to go. Anyway, when the thousand years was over, nobody thought of me as 'Princess'. Instead, Falyis was only a legend told to young children, thought to have never happened. Even the legend ws being rapidly forgotten, and the fractured tales I heard were skewed, twisted versions of the truth. I knew... I was the only one who knew... knew of the lost prosperity of Falyis, knew that Midnight had to be alive somewhere, that I was not alone!"
Chapter 5: Corrupted
Chapter 6: The End or the Beginning?
This is my petpet, Azura. She looks slightly frightening, but after all, don't I as well? She's perfectly docile and has a cheerful attitude. She was my petpet from Falyis, but she became cursed along with me. I do cherish the company.

Laluzi's Adopted Family
This kougra was killed when she was seven. Some girls that she thought were her friends betrayed her and left her to die out in a blizzard. She forever haunts the place where she froze to death, and she will never be put at rest until she gets revenge.
This kougra's family was killed by vampires when she was young. She escaped, but became a vampire herself. She forever wanders the forest, trying to find acceptance and a cure.
This lupe's family and friends were killed in a werewolf attack. She and her sister were the only survivors, but they were separated. Falayi was cursed and became a werewolf, but she still searches for her sister, who may still be alive.
This kougra demon is completely evil. Completely. He is more than willing to kill anything that gets in his way, and he has enough power to destroy the world. He's got to be stopped.
This uni is the Thundersteed of legend. He has complete control over lightning and storms. His parents were killed saving him from the lead stallion of the herd, who thought he was a demon in disguise.
This kougra is the only surviving Nightriae. She is the last of a race of night spirits that lived eras ago. Her kind was killed when the sun was created. When she was born, moments before her race was destroyed, her parents sealed her inside a star, so she would be safe until the time came for her to be free again...

Please don't steal these as your pet's design. You may ask, but your story must have nothing to do with Falyis, you must acknowledge that I made the design, it can't be in use already, and it's gotta be a great story. I'll make it clear now, so I don't have to state it throughout the whole page. Laluzi and Midnight are the ONLY survivors of Falyis (and there are no ghosts). I did not and will not permit anyone to do so much as mention it in your story. The only exception to this is Namaiea. If you see somebody using Falyis in their story, especially if they include something that goes against Laluzi's story, tell me their username but DO NOT REPORT. They might be my friend. But if you nm me, you can put the image on your page if it ISN'T Laluzi's pic. I'll give you the code.
These are all the pets that can be painted with the Falyan Paint Brush as of now.

Laluzi's Friends
Where do I begin? We have been friends since the dawn of time in most perspectives. A princess and a thief, quite a strange combination. But she was like the sister I never had, and she meant as much to me as my family. But now, with my family dead, she is much, much more... But I rejoice, for after thousands of years of seperation, we have finally found each other. It begins again, it seems. Where will the new adventure take us?

I met this dashing gelert knight in Neopia Central. I had left the palace ruins to see if I could find a life outside my past. Eventually, I decided I would never be able to fit in anymore in my cursed form, and I returned. But Flames was the first neopet I met in my little journey. He was very charming and polite, and was one of the only people who actually acknowledged my being a princess, and he tried to help me regain my status. I can only assume the code of chivalry has not changed since I last talked with the knights of Falyis.
__________________________________________
I met this vampiric kougra while wandering through the forest. I was approaching a stream to drink when I saw the slender pale blue kougra kneeling by the silver water. She had ebony black stripes and two rather vestigal red wings. On her forehead was a long scar, and her eyes were pure white. It was a quiet, defeated look she wore, knowing that whatever hopes and dreams she held were never to be hers. She gazed at her reflection, remembering some time long gone, and a tear fell from her cheek into the water. Eventually I made up the courage to go to the stream. I went next to her and took a drink. She watched me for a few seconds before asking me my name. "Laluzi," I said. "Who are you?
I used to have a name," she said. "But it has been so long since I have talked with anyone that even I have forgotten it... you may call me Vampiirae." I listened to her tale. She had lived in a village over a hundred years ago, and woke up one day to find everyone dead. She left to find a new home, only to be attacked by vampires. She escaped, but she had contracted vampirism and became one. I never saw her again after she left... I wonder if she has finally found her dream of acceptance?

I met this stallion lost in the ruins of Falyis. When I first caught a glimpse of his white coat, I thought he might have been Midnight, but instead it was this proud stallion. He comes from a fallen kingdom in the desert, and I wonder how he found himself here... We are friends, but I have not finished our rp yet.

I met this kougra she was actually looking for me. Something that hadn't happened for millenia, actually. Apparently I was part of a prophecy, and would embark on a quest with the savior, Namaiea, to restore the glory of Oshiri. She was the prophecy said I would be a silver kougra, not this form I am in now, and I caught her without warning. We're great friends now, having together survived the amazing quest.

I don't feel like wasting much time on this. Look, I know the code is open. I don't feel like taking it on and off 24/7. If you want it, ask me and I'll check to see if you qualify. And if I like your story even if you haven't asked, you can use it. I'll nm you. But I' you have to have at least two out of the following...
*Great Artwork
*An awesome story that wasn't stolen
*Really good music
*A very original and interesting pet design
Please don't steal this. I mean, it's just not nice.

Stargazing on the Roof of the World, Night Sky Photography Tips in Tibet
April,08 2016 BY
Tibet is acknowledged as the nearest place to the universe. When looking at the sky, you just cannot help reaching out your hands to the stars as if you can catch one or two. Shooting the night sky is an indispensible part of a .
The average elevation of Tibet is above 4200 meters. This highest plateau gifts Tibet with thin air, pure sky and dry atmosphere, which are all crucial elements of taking a crystal clear picture of sky. In addition, the giant mountains and tall ridges block most of the clouds out, leaving a clean and transparent night for the stargazers. Tibet is, no doubt, the most perfect gateway from the hustle and bustle to a quiet and indolent night.
Namtso Lake
is the largest lake in Tibet, the 2nd largest salt water lake in China (the 1st largest is Qinghai Lake), and the world&s highest lake. It is located between the Damxung County of Lhasa and the Bango County of Nagqu region. In the Tibetan language, &Namtso Lake& means &Heavenly Lake&. It along with Lake Manasarovar and Yamdroktso Lake is regarded as the Holy Lake in Tibet. The lake surface is at 4,740 meters above sea level, measuring about 70 kilometers long and 30 kilometers broad, with a surface area of 1,920 square kilometers. Because of the high altitude, you&ll need to acclimatize in and around Lhasa for a few days before heading this way. It is not unusual for visitors to get altitude sickness on an overnight stay out at the lake.
Sitting by the Holy Namtso Lake is such a romantic thing. Pilgrims come and go, praying for redemption, luck or happiness to this mirror-like lake, which replies to them with ripples and breeze.
When night falls, the Milky Way is right there. The sapphire sky suddenly turns into a blank canvas, waiting for God to initiate His masterpiece. God sprays the stars randomly and casually. You would never figure out what is going on in His mind, but still, you would definitely love His painting. On the opposite bank, there are some lights on. Maybe, there is someone just like you, sitting on the ground and gazing at the countless sparkles. All that you can see is a bright moon hanging in the sky with nume all that you can feel is the wind continuously blowi all that you can think of is nothing except for the phrase: &God Almighty.
Everest Base Camp
was first used by the 1924 British Everest expedition. The site has a couple of permanent structures and a small army base. Clamber up the small hill festooned with prayer flags for great views of the star attraction, then have your photo taken at the base camp marker, which reads &Mt. Qomolangma Base Camp&. The Chinese indicates that it is 5200 meters above sea level.
You can see many photos of Mt. Everest wether on the internet or in your friends& cameras. But the images of Everest standing under the dark night is hard to find. Maybe it&s because Mt. Everest itself is hard to access, or maybe it&s because of the clouds hovering over the peak that block the starry night. Taking a picture of Mt. Everest at night is that hard, but all these reasons make it even more valuable and mysterious. Just image: the highest mountain in the world with ice and snow, the magic flag clouds floating in the sky, the stars falling like rain. What could make a better picture than those? How can you even resist the temptation of taking one by yourself?
Guge Kingdom
One of the 1st important cultural relic sites under protection,
stand on a 300-meter-tall yellow earth hill on the banks of the Xiangquang River in the Zaborang District, about 18 km away from Zada County. The Xiangquang River runs northwest from the Lake Manasarovar. The river valley is broad with the fertile earth. Rising abruptly from the river bank, the ruins add much mystery to this area.
Since the invention of light by Edison in 1879, people have neglect the beauty of stars, especially those who live in cities. When night comes, people light up the sky with various lamps and bulbs. The nightscape that modern people admire, however, will be overshadowed dramatically by that of Guge Kingdom.
The pictures depicting Guge Kingdom at night are extremely rare, because the thought of photographing a night scene of Guge seldom crosses people&s mind. The relics seem even calmer and clearer than ever before during the night. When you look into the sky, you may regard it as a really stable lake with hundreds and thousands of fireflies dancing over the surface. The moon is like a light, protruding the outline of Guge Kingdom just in front of people&s eyes, telling you the stories of this ancient kingdom.
The Changtang&is a high altitude plateau in western and northern Tibet extending into southeastern Ladakh, with vast highlands and giant lakes. From eastern Ladakh Changtang stretches approximately 1600 km east into Tibet, as far as the province of Qinghai. It is the home of the Changpa nomads. Most of Changtang Plateau is now protected nature reserves consisting of the Changtang Nature Reserve, the 2nd largest nature reserve in the world. Since the reserves have been established, there has been a welcome increase in the numbers of endangered species.
P cities create nightlife. The nightlife of human beings block the starry night and drives away the clear Milky Way. Without such beautiful and poetic sky, People would be just like birds without wings. Looking up into the starry sky is actually considered as the symbol of wise men. Even the German philosopher Kant once said &Two things fill the mind with ever new and increasing admiration and awe, the more often and steadily we reflect upon them: the starry heavens above me and the moral law within me.& The famous Starry Night by Van Gogh is also considered to be one of the most successful work by people. After all, we human beings are still fans of the sky.
The Moon, so big and round, seems reachable when you stand on the Changtang Plateau. Seeing this scene, you may be touched by the pure and quiet Moon, which is almost impossible to appear in cities. At night, the Moon becomes the &Sun&, giving out light, acting as a beacon for all living creatures on the Changtang Plateau.
A fine, tapering finger of a structure that sprouts from a craggy ridge overlooking the patchwork fields of the Yarlung Tsangpo Valley, Yumbulagang is considered the oldest building in Tibet. Most of what can be seen today dates from 1982. It is still a remarkably impressive sight, with a lovely setting. The founding of Yumbulagang stretches back into legend and myth. The standard line is that it is was built for King Nyentri Tsenpo, a historic figure who had long since blurred into mythology. Legend has him descending from Heaven and being received as a king by the people of the Yarlung Tsangpo Valley. More than 400 Buddhist holy texts are said to have fallen from Heaven at Yumbulagang in the 5th century. Murals at Yumbulagang depict the magical arrival of the texts.
The best way to show the greatness and holiness of Yumbulagang, is to set the stars and Moon as its background. We choose the shooting place and photographing time very carefully. We know when the moon will rise and in which direction it rises. The sky at night is not entirely dark, but a little bit blue with few clouds as decoration. Because of extremely long exposure, you can actually see the track of stars in picture. They are like meteor, setting themselves on fire just to demonstrate the beauty within seconds. However, the Moon is so near that you can even see the lunar mare very clearly. The Yumbulagang, under the cloak of darkness, seems more mysterious.
Siling Tso
Siling Tso is the 2nd largest lake (the largest one is Namtso Lake) in Tibet, lying at the south of the Changtang Plateau. In accordance with legend, Siling is an arch devil, who used to live in Duilongdeqing County, west to Lhasa. He greedily devoured thousands of lives every day including both human beings and animals. One day, Padamasambhava found Siling and asked him to stay in the lake forever and confess. From then on, people called the lake &Siling Tso&, which means the &Siling Devil Lake.
When it&s getting dark, day and night begin to shift their duty. The night is so quiet and calm. The herdsmen begin to light up the lamps in their tents by the lakeside. Everything seems fascinating and tranquil, especially when you gaze at the shining stars. You can feel the inner peace. Siling Tso is lying on the plateau of 4500-meter&s in elevation. With crystal clear visibility, you just don&t know how far your eyes could reach, maybe to the end of the dark night. Suddenly, you realize that, all the stars above your head have stayed there in the sky for like millions of years. Human beings are ultimately so fragile and so negligible when compared with nature.
Tholing Monastery
Tholing Monastery is the oldest monastery in Nagri Prefecture. It is situated in Tholing, Zanda County, with altitude of 3,800 meters above sea level. It was built in 997 by Yeshe-O, the 2nd King of the Guge Kingdom. In Tibetan language, Tholing means &hovering in the sky forever&. The complex includes 3 temples, the Yeshe-O Temple, the Lhakhang Karpo and the Dukhang. There are many ancient precious and well preserved frescoes.
Tholing Monastery standing under the starry night, seems more solemn and more mysterious. You don&t know how, but darkness actually reveals the very essence of the monastery. When Moon sprays the light on it, these words just bump into your mind: calmness, holiness and purity. No matter how colorful Tholing Monastery is in daylight, it bows to the vast Milky Way at night. The light of Moon and stars is nothing, when the sun is still shining. However in the night, the fragile spark is even more precious and touching.
Yamdroktso Lake
Yamdroktso Lake is located at Nangartse County of Shannan Prefecture, some 110 km to the southwest of Lhasa. It is 1 of 3 Holy Lakes in Tibet (the other 2 are Namtso Lake and Lake Manasarovar). The lake is 130 km long from east to west and 70 km broad from north to south. The lake bank is 250 km long and its surface is 638 square km. Standing at an elevation of 4,441 meters above sea level, the lake&s average depth is 20 to 40 meters, with the deepest point at 60 meters. Is is the largest inland lake on the northern range of the Himalayas. Supplied with melted ice, the lake has a low level of salinity. In the Tibetan language, &Yamdroktso& is an ancient name meaning &upper pasture&, comparing the lake water to jadeite.
It&s hard for modern people to imaging the greatness of Milky Way, because they rarely see one. Even if you escape out of cities, what you can see at night is much inferior than the sky above Yamdroktso Lake. Thanks to the high altitude, the Milky Way that we are looking at is not really a simple ivory-white way. It is actually a colorful river. The stars are red, gold and even blue.
Lake Manasarovar
Lake Manasarovar is among the world&s highest fresh-water lakes. At an elevation of 4,583 meters, the lake covers 412 square kilometers. With the northern part broader than the southern end, the deepest point of the lake is over 70 meters. The lake is purer than a sapphire and one can see through dozens of meters into the lake. The lake is located in the Burang County, 20 km southeast of the Mount Kailash.
When the curtain of night falls down, the moon just rises high in the sky. It lights up the sky but does not overshadow the brilliance of stars. That&s when you should take out your camera and set everything ready, because the perfect moment is short and hard to get. If you miss that, you& ll have to wait for another day. FYI, staying at Lake Manasarovar in the night could be very cold and freezing. The wind may blow away your camera, your tripod leg and even your car. Only those who ever experienced this unforgettable night, can have the real taste of Lake Manasarovar.
