一般漫画改编的游戏销量都是一般般,不过前作[X-Men Legends]一经推出就疯狂大卖,一共卖出200万本以上.这样的销量出续集是必然的了。
新作的剧情紧跟着前作, 场景也更加的庞大.X战警与全新的敌人-天启变种人作战,但是经过前作的一次战役后,实力大减,只好谋求与变种人兄弟会合作, 变种人兄弟会也感到生存的压力,就和X战警联手对抗天启变种人.
[X战警传奇2：天启降临]游戏中一共有16名角色供玩家选择,但不一定包括前作的所有角色.暴风女,Cyclops,Nightcrawler,当然少不了狼人的加入,其它还有磁力人,Bishop和Juggernaut等等,他们都是拥有属于自己特殊的超能力.
至于游戏中的Boss级人们方面,Activision表示不会另玩家失望的,设定既个性化又不失张力.游戏的官网上还有狼人屠杀敌军的相关视频下载.
初步感觉是游戏本身相比于前作并无太大的改变,但Raven Software对游戏的一些基本玩法作了很多的调整.更加简练的控制系统,和更加简洁的控制界面,还有是就是玩家依旧可以从Forge那里买得物品来武装你的角色,
游戏中可以让玩家充分的运用所选的角色,每个角色都被赋予新的能力.例如:Nightcrawler拥有全新的运用各种剑术的战斗风格,而Cyclops现在就可以使用各种和光相关的技能,如脉冲光波,激光波和光导弹.
一共是4个角色同时游戏,玩家可以选择控制其中一人,其它三人由电脑控制,也可以四个玩家分别同时战斗.游戏还有一个特点,就是玩家可实时的转换角色的能力,这样,玩家就可以随机应变地根据关卡场地的不同来随心所欲地发挥了.特别是战友不足四人时,这个特点真是十分的方便,单打独斗时你可以这样运用,叫上几个密友同乐也行.
同时,本作的PC、 XBOX和PS2版都加入了4人网络游戏模式.还包括一些只有在多人模式下才有的内容,如"小冲突模式"和几个具有新特点的直线型的联机体验.比如:你可以不须再等其它的玩家同步显示;你可以很简单的设置游戏来自动地同步.
当然,玩家角色所有的这些优点都是要付出代价的.敌人能力也将会全面的提高,游戏的另一个有趣的系统就是敌人能力的不确定性.如拥有可以任意提高力量和有突变能力的超能力.BOSS级人物还可以获得新的能力或者装备,所以玩家每次和他们战斗都会有不同的感觉.游戏的耐玩性大大提高.
