MSA-0011(Ext) Ex-S高达是MSA-0011 S高达的最终形态，Ex是Extraordinary的缩写。本机实现了自RX-78-2 高达以来MS形态与巡航形态之间自由变换的想法，在巡航状态下，机体的攻击力可与战舰相媲美；作为MS，本机也具有极高的战斗力。机体胸部中央的I FIELD发生器可对驾驶舱及胸部变形机构作出有效的保护；膝部的光束军刀装置可与反射式Incom单元互换；腿后部装备了推力强化装置，有效地提高了机体的机动性和运动性；技术人员还为机体更换了更强力的新型背包，背包左右各有一组对称的热核火箭式引擎及燃料槽，使其推力达到了标准推力的11倍，背包引擎在与机体的平衡推进尾翼衔接后，更能进一步提高机体的机动性；由于腹部增设的可变框架，使得本机可以使用威力强劲的精灵光束炮。无论从哪个角度上来看，Ex-S高达都可以说是当时最强的MS。
