&&&&&&& 这种异性的生命期开始于一个王后的蛋。一段时间后，会有一只抱面虫从蛋中爬出，然后寄生到附近的一个生命体中。在接触到生命体的面部之后，这只抱面虫会将胚胎寄生到该生命体面部，然后自己死掉。这个留下来的胚胎一般会在受害者胸部继续生长，以受害者为食。一段时间之后，这个胚胎就进入了&破胸者&阶段，顾名思义，它会破胸而出，场面很恶心。自由之后，这个&破胸者&的外表就是它之前寄生的物种的样子，可以是人类、动物或者其他生物。几个小时后，它便可以成年。这时候，它开始行动敏捷，拥有锋利的爪子、突出的口腔以及不可穿透的外骨骼。对于很多科幻游戏来说，它都是完美的屠杀机器。

&&&&&&& 这一寄生虫首见于《生化危机4》。Plagas可以通过寄生于&主人&的神经系统内部而控制其行动。该寄生虫发育之前寄生在心脏之下的肺部之间，它在这里借入&主人&的骨髓进而控制其神经。随着寄生虫的成长，&主人&会出现一系列病症，如咳血、眼出血、昏蹶、呕吐以及血管变色等。Plagas的受害人通常会变得很强壮，不受疼痛困扰。但作为代价，他们会变得像机器人一样，失去正常的推理能力。这种寄生虫通常成群结对进攻，并且能够以迅雷不及掩耳之势打击目标。
